Music Adventures for Tots

Everyone’s born with a natural love of musical sound. Young children naturally express themselves through musical instruments while exploring rhythms, sounds, beat, notes and melody. This fun class may just inspire the next Mozart, Paul McCartney or Hannah Montana! Recommended for children ages 4-8.

NOTE:  Each session is 2 parts, 1 week each.  Parents can sign up for one or both.  Session 1 is Required before taking Session 2.

Summer Percussion Camp

Don’t waste your time playing X-Box all summer and do something even more fun! Interested in playing drums and percussion in a large group? Then you will love to be a part of this camp!! We will be playing classical, marching and world music, and there will be a final performance at The Stage where each student will receive a DVD of the concert.

Location: Mozingo Music in Ellisville
Dates: June 9 – July 25 (6 weeks)
Performance: Saturday, August 9 (Dress Rehearsal August 2)
*Students will be able to tailor their attendance at the camp to accommodate their summer school/vacation schedules*

Camps: Advanced (high school/college students) - Meets 3 days a week, Mon, Wed & Fri, from 10am-Noon. Intermediate (middle school students) - Meets 2 days a week, Tues & Thurs, from 10am-Noon.
Tuition: $250 plus a summer camp registration fee of $25.

Music Exploration Camp (See Camp Pictures)

Explore the world of music through stories, activities and hands-on experiences with various musical instruments including Percussion, Strings, Woodwinds and even Guitar. This week-long camp is sure to inspire the aspiring musician in everyone. Recommended for ages 7-13.

Rock Band Camp** (See Camp Pictures )

Do you play guitar, bass, drums/percussion, keyboards or sing and want to work with a group of other kids to form your own band? What better time than SUMMER to make it happen! Under the direction of a “Professional Rocker,” learn the basics of working together, blending your sound and rehearsing to perform by the end of the summer. You may even want to keep it going until you become the best band in town! You pick the songs. Music, CD's and sound equipment provided. Days and times vary during the summer, check with Camp Coordinator for schedule. Students in grades 6 through 12 will be placed with other students of like age, skill level and musical preference, based on a required Audition. Instructor leads all rehearsals and schedules performances. Invite friends and family to watch you perform under the lights on-stage at the new Mozingo Performance Studio. Recommended for ages 10-17 (Grades 6-12).
